Its Great Buddha Hall (大仏殿 Daibutsuden), houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu (大仏). The temple also serves as the Japanese headquarters of the Kegon school of Buddhism. The temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara".
The temple gives the following dimensions for the statue:

Hi everyone, Am a self taught artist who is also passionate about travel, food and photography. Though my profession is different, art was always close to my heart. I started painting when I was 4 and since then it was a long and gradual process in shaping the artist in me. I work with pencil, charcoal, water colour, oil colour and mixed media to express my mind to the fullest. I always try to keep my works vibrant as I believe art should always induce a positive energy in the beholder. I hope you all will enjoy my works.
